Central School Hike Through History

Central School’s 26th Annual

Hike Through History

Friday, May 28, 2021

What would your life be like if you had been born hundreds of years ago?  How would you have traveled before airplanes and cars? During this year's hike, you will explore the journeys that people took in earlier times. The Journeys hike explores why people came to South Berwick and how their life journeys affected the land and their community.

This year due to COVID 19 health and safety protocols, our third-grade teachers and students will present a modified Hike Through History for our Pre-K through third grade Central School students. Unfortunately family and community members will not be able to join us on hike day. The students and their teachers will be engaged in activities outside in our backyard and will take a mini hike to the Sarah Orne Jewett House and the South Berwick Public Library. Lunch will be the traditional hot dog cookout in the schoolyard.
