Story Walk Project

Eighth graders from all three teams: Sparrows, Ospreys, and Remote Learning Academy are working together to write a children’s book teaching younger students about inclusivity. This book will become a story walk where families can take a walk the property of Marshwood Middle School and read a page of the book at each station. There will be illustrations at each station to go with the topic, and through QR codes families will be able to have audio readings recorded and produced by students and links to resources for more information on the topic. Through this student-centered project, kids have taken on roles like communicator, editor, writer, and illustrator to demonstrate all of the Language Arts: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Attached is a sneak peek of some of their hard work.

As the student stations are made and the student work is published more information will be shared.
