MGWS Kindness Counts Club, formally known as the Secret Service Club, has been around for years. Cindy Maloney and Ellen Cronauer started the club about six years ago. The goal of the club is to spread kindness around the school and community.
Students in the club leave secret positive affirmations in lockers and notes for teachers on white boards, and words of encouragement hung around school. They hang positive notes in the halls all around the school.
Last week the students made ornaments for the residents at Berwick Estates. They visited and sang carols and played games. The students and residents shared conversation, laughs and hot chocolate .
Students were proud of themselves for helping the community members and sharing the gift of love and the true spirit of the holiday season.
