CC, RB

Calista Christian and Rose Bruneau are two 5th grade students in Mrs. Morse’s fifth grade class. What started out as a classroom idea project, quickly turned bigger. The girls decided on a charity, and they both love animals. They remembered when The Center For Wildlife would come to Eliot Elementary and show the students the animals.

They checked out the website/wishlist and brainstormed from there.

The girls talked to the classroom teacher, then moved forward and talked to Mr. Brunell.

Emails went out to families with a list of items that the center needs. Donation boxes were placed around the school for the items.

Q: What makes this passion project different from the others???

CC, RB: It’s for the animals. Not the money, not the people, but the animals surviving.

Q: Why the Center for Wildlife?

CC, RB: We wanted to help change the world, wanted to do something that impacts in a great way.

The rehab center is for animals in need.

Q: What did the Center say when they found out you were doing this for them?

CC, RB: The Center for Wildlife does not know yet that we are doing this for them. We are going to let them know what we have and want to make the delivery.

If you would still like to make a donation, GWS will gladly accept it and add it to the boxes.
